Glass has been the passion of Carol Knox's entire life and, finally,
early in 2012 she decided it was “now or never” to turn that passion into
an art form. Her preference has always
been for function rather than do-dad’s that would sit on a shelf so it comes as
no surprise that she focused her creativity on dishes – works of art that are
dishwasher safe and can be used every day - plates, platters, and bowls
of all sizes in designs that are unique, fun, and, beautiful. Plus there are chess boards in any two colors.
Naturally, creativity just refuses to be
confined to the table and thus she also creates whimsical pieces that sit in in
wrought iron stands and remind us of Moonlight Gardens, Bouquets of Flowers, or
other bits of imagery.
It’s all glass! Some are pieces cut & arranged. Others
are powdered glass on solid backgrounds. Some pieces have been crafted from
molten glass. All are fired in a kiln to create beautiful art.
